Datsik returns with Ninja Nation Tour 2017

Datsik brings his power bass skills to Old National, returning to Indianapolis on Ninja Nation Tour 2017

Armed with Shaolin bass from the PK-Sound, you know that when Datsik hits the stage, every fiber of your being will be vibrating. His return to the Egyptian Room was no different as he continues his Ninja-themed touring concept. However, this time Troy Beetles ups the ante, and he plans to take no prisoners.

Adorned on stage with background architecture that looks like Senso-ji in Tokyo’s future and wearing a future tech Jingasa, he powered up his sound like Kurosawa bringing his samurais to life. This may be a testament to my age, but I could not help but think of images from Karateka in all its 8-bit glory.

But this show was more than 1080 awesome. Warming up the crowd were Crizzly and Virtual Riot, who both provided a nice buildup while providing a diversity to accentuate the mood of the night. When it was Datsik’s turn, he featured song off his latest EP, Sensei (check out the new single for “Just Saiyan'” here), as well as classic electro bass bangers. From his laptop to the crowd’s reaction, his shows are always an experience. But I will let the photos tell the rest of the story.
