Death – Cease Fire

Death releases “Cease Fire” 45 on vinyl and digitally through TryAngle Records

Yesterday (April 10), Detroit’s Death released a new single. “Cease Fire” is one half of a new 45 by the band. “You Are What You Think” makes up the other side from the album N.E.W. This new single is available on vinyl or digitally through TryAngle Records.

The band looks to John Lennon to feed a passion in “Cease Fire.” They elaborate:

“Cease Fire” the new Death single is a continuation of the social conscious voice that Rock ‘N’ Roll music states to all people. If John Lennon were alive in this world today, we are sure he would echo the same sentiments, because we have to first put the guns down and stop the senseless shooting so we can “Give Peace A Chance.””

Continuing their veracity for rawness and harsh honesty to invoke positive change, “Cease Fire” could not come at a more poignant time in U.S. history. The group showcases a penchant for longevity in the rock scene. It also shows an active quality from time within the rock scene. The band continues to write meaningful treatises on current situations. It is not just a focus on the times, but the song builds a history we continually look back to.

The greatest gift from “Cease Fire” is perspective.
