CLOVER
Atlas
Independent
Atlas is like a mood ring. It’s an EP you cannot dismiss because the songs are transformative, burning through genre and style by ignoring the rules.
Let’s not dismiss that this EP is a reflection of her career thus far. CLOVER is an inspiration, bringing enlightenment to streets busking during the pandemic as a way of spiritual healing. Through activism and empowerment, she has been a strong proponent for equality and women’s rights.
With Atlas, CLOVER looks inward to progress and that’s where we get such a heart stopper like “Anymore.” The song glimmers with beautiful songwriting. As the EP ends with a sense of grace, it begins tinged in indie folk that showcases CLOVER’s skilled vocal chords. But if “Who Knew” does not connect, give it a moment because “Used To It” is overflowing with pop flavor and night lights of danceable moments whether anyone is watching or not.
This is how Atlas moves. Like CLOVER, it never settles and is never complacent. The fluidity of this EP is a lesson that CLOVER has a wide palette of passion.
