Opeth returned to Indianapolis in support of their album, In Cauda Venenum with opening support from Graveyard. Opeth reached in to their expansive discography to pull out songs from obviously their latest release (“Hand in Heart” and “Allting tar slut” as well as the older death metal song, “The Leper Affinity, dating back to their 2001 release Blackwater Park and mid-career songs like “Nepenthe” from their album Heritage and “Moon Above, Sun Below,” from the 2014 Pale Communion.
The group walked away, performing an encore of “Sorceress” and the 2002 title track to their album Deliverance. From the careful preparations of the room acoustics to the technical array of lighting, Opeth presented live music as if it was an art form.
