German beatmakers Rococomoco (Thorsten Klages and Ingo Kreutzer) and British producer The Hidden are lethargic superheroes here to save us from the chaos that consumes us. With their sophomore release, Electric Paradise, man looks to machine to create a new synthesis solution for society.
This team used the latest audio-visual AI-software (Soundraw, Runway, God Particle, Midjourney to start with) to accentuate electric guitar and a Roland SP-404 sampler to create sonic bliss. The album is song after song of lo-fi Hip Hop that feels as easy as breathing. Bite-sized songs sooth the urban mind in simple expressions.
This album is simply a celebration in the dawn of a new technological era. Instead of shying away from the fear of AI eating up musical arts as we know it, Rocomoco & The Hidden embraces AI to help create a heightened awareness of melancholic sounds that take us on an escapist adventure based on Chillwave, Japanese anime and core British Ambient. From field recordings to inspiration from the outside looking in, the key is to find the little, happy accidents and breathe life into it.
